2021 Highlights for Gisborne VRC

March 3, 2022

In 2021 we have had a few highlights.

One of these was the NAS visit in March after two planned visits that were cancelled due to Covid. The team were able to see so many families that were unable to travel to Auckland to the Homai Campus. This was a wonderful opportunity for families and local services to connect and provide some great professional development for the RTV and Teachers Aides working with akonga.

We also coordinated a Matariki Curriculum day to celebrate the Maori New Year and strengthen the relationship with our Wairoa akonga.

We welcomed a new Administrator into our team – Sheelagh Cox to join us in Term 4 and she comes with experience with working with BLENNZ akonga in schools.
