We held four successful Regional Days throughout New Zealand with a significant focus on Early Literacy. The purpose of this was to upskill teachers in mainstream pedagogy in order to enhance their confidence and competence.

We also rolled out LEGO Braille Bricks across the network and RTV /DOMS went on to complete four webinars in order to follow the pedagogical approach.

An overview of Deafblind and the next phase of learning was also presented.. This was a fun and interactive session covering anatomy of the ear, how to read and understand audiograms, plus steps to take to keep hearing aids functioning well. This session ended with a robust and hotly contested quiz around these topics that everyone enjoyed while bringing out the competitive spirit in the regions.
