2023 started as another eventful year, with a cyclone in week 3, putting a damper to the start of the year. At the end of term 1 we hosted the low vision workshop for educators, which was hugely successful.
We have continued with our Taitamāhine group for girls between 8 – 12 years old, focusing on DOM and life skills, with visits to Auckland city by train, lunch at Smith & Caughey’s, a session in the BLENNZ pool, rubgy skills and a visit to Bruce Pullman for a gym session.
Another highlight was attending an audio described performance of Disney on Ice, which was fabulous.
The highlight for RTVs was our visit to BLVNZ, to see the mobility centre.
