The BELS team conducted two professional education programmes in 2021 specifically for RTV working with early childhood ākonga. 101 in June for 14 RTV covered topics that supported philosophy of working with whānau and ākonga. 201 (14 RTV) was interrupted as Auckland went into lockdown. The BELS team and RTV unanimously agreed to continue the programme via Zoom. This proved to be extremely successful and the information sharing and discussions were very substantial.

Comment: I enjoyed learning about some ideas that I haven’t heard of before in such depth. I feel that having the sessions on Zoom and in smaller time frames allowed for more reflection on the topics.
