The purpose of the one-day workshops was to provide an opportunity for educators to gain a greater insight into the implications for ākonga who are blind, deafblind or who have low vision.

Participants enjoyed the interactive sessions around the following topics: BLENNZ services, what is Blindness and Low Vision, Tips for the classroom teacher/LSA, the role of the Resource Teacher Vision, Tactile Graphics, Braille and library resources Assistive Technology and Orientation and Mobility.

The feedback that we received expressed how educators were looking forward to applying their learning to their practice.
