Kia ora tātou, my name is Katie Dodd and I am the Residential Manager at BLENNZ Homai Campus. I lead the residential service based in Whare Nikau, supporting Ākonga who stay onsite while attending the BLENNZ Transition Programme or local high school.
My role is to ensure our ākonga are safe, happy and well supported while living away from home. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the hostel and lead a dedicated team of Youth Workers. Together, we create a supportive and welcoming environment where students can build strong relationships, grow in independence, and feel confident trying new things. With a background in youth work, I’m passionate about working with rangatahi and supporting them to grow in confidence. Our team focuses on recognising and building on the strengths ākonga already have and creating a positive environment where they can do their best.
