Kia ora, my name is Sharon Duncan, and I am the Early Learning Practice Lead for BLENNZ. I work with the BLENNZ Early Learning Services (BELS) team to support effective early childhood practice across Aotearoa.
My role is to ensure that BLENNZ staff working with early childhood tamariki, their whānau, and caregivers use research-informed pedagogy and effective practices. We develop a range of teaching and learning approaches, including Professional Education Programmes, Tamariki and Whānau Courses, and national and regional support for RTV and DOM working in early childhood.
A key focus of our work is supporting BLENNZ staff, who in turn partner with whānau and caregivers to support their tamariki. We embrace a coaching mindset, recognising that everyone brings valuable strengths to their work.
